BEHIND THE SCENES AT P.F.
From concept to development to design and production, to packing and shipping, the P.F. crew has a hand in every step of the process. We carefully inspect raw materials upon delivery at our production warehouse, and expertly pour, melt, mix, measure, dip, and test each of our products to make sure every batch is up to our quality standards and performance. This means a real human makes the products you love and a real human answers your emails and messages.
We’re sure you’ve heard us mention how we’re proudly independently owned and operated. What does this mean? It means that we have the freedom and flexibility to invest in our team and our facilities, and allows us to answer to ourselves and our customers. As our Co-founder, Kristen, says “we choose to produce ourselves because that’s how this company started — at the age of 12 I learned how to pour candles, and ten years later, founded an Etsy shop that would become P.F. Candle Co. Cutting out the middle man means we keep a close eye on the quality and care of each product, while ensuring the people who made it and the community we reside in don’t get lost in the mix. My expertise lies in making things — specifically home fragrance — and now we have a team of experts that carry on that tradition.”

A FEW THINGS WE’RE DIGGING LATELYHere’s a list of things that are rocking our world lately, in case you know, you need some inspiration.
“I've been playing bass again after not playing for a few years and I'm having such a good time getting back into it! I've been learning a bunch of funk/disco songs and it's just an instant mood booster!”
- Mimi, Shop Associate
“I've been really into artists Chaka and Mike Giant recently. Also LA-based photographer Estevan Oriol!”
- Nicee, Plant Manager
“I've been interested in researching regenerative farming and agriculture to encourage my parents to update their micro farm. Also, there is an unofficial Marvel fan club at P.F. where we talk about the latest shows and movies coming out. We may or may not have matching sweatshirts. Otherwise, I've been really enjoying going to older LA establishments like bars and restaurants, and recently it has been The Prince, Casa Bianca, Shakers...next up is Chili John's lol.”
- Hollin, Shop Development Manager
“I've been rewatching all nine seasons of SUITS; I'm currently on season seven. I love how this series combines relationships, therapy, and teamwork into one big soap opera. But what I enjoy the most are the movie quote references between Mike and Harvey.”
- Yanira, Accounting Lead
“A few bits I’ve been loving?
- Homemade greek yogurt parfaits with chopped apples and banana berry smoothies
- The Alhambra Farmers Market
- Thrifting for clothes! After 31 years, I finally figured out what suits my body type and thrifting for clothes has been a very fun and affordable way to liven up my closet.
- I can’t stop listening to The Marias, Japanese Breakfast, Alt-J, and Doja Cat!
- Ok hear me out: dry shampoo. It’s a game changer.”
- Sarah, Office Manager
