Our Commitment to Sustainability

Climate change and humanity’s impact on the planet is a growing concern. As we rapidly grow, we view sustainability as our ethical duty. Why focus on sustainability? Well, it’s the right thing to do and it touches on some of our core values. In the midst of what is only the beginning of climate change, we are fully committed to practices that will further offset and neutralize our carbon footprint. Protecting our environment and our community is important to us, and we know we can achieve our carbon-neutral goals with the necessary practices.
Climate Neutral WebsiteThat being said, we are so excited to begin working with Climate Neutral. We started the certification process this past July with a goal to be certified by October 2021. Climate Neutral will help us measure, offset, and create an action plan to reduce and neutralize our current carbon emissions. This is the first step of many towards becoming a fully sustainable organization.

Have we mentioned we can totally do this together? By supporting our independently-owned business you support initiatives to preserve and protect our environment and our communities, and we know we can do the damn thing.

We’ll be rolling out additional plans soon to continue to work toward our goal of offsetting our carbon footprint and supporting our efforts toward sustainability. Check out Climate Neutral and all the organizations that have joined forces to preserve our incredible planet.

Below is the three step process:

  1. Measure / Working with Carbon Neutral to take the steps to measure our carbon emissions company wide by Aggregate your operational data needed for footprinting, Calculate your footprint. Most brands use the Brand Emissions Estimator, a tool that turns your data into a carbon footprint.
  2. Off-set / Once we have our calculation, we will be off-setting our carbon emissions by purchasing carbon credits. One carbon credit removes or avoids one tonne of carbon emissions. One carbon credit is a certificate generated when someone takes an action to eliminate or avoid the emission of one metric tonne of greenhouse gas emissions. Climate Neutral has created a strong third-party verification system to ensure these carbon credits are actually occurring and off-setting.
  3. RAP or Reduction Action Plan / Carbon Neutral requires all brands to develop and implement a reduction action plan (RAP) to reduce their emissions over the next 12-24 months.
