Behind the Collab: P.F. x Lodge Room
Our newest collaboration is with an iconic Los Angeles venue. Lodge Room is easily one of our favorite venues in Los Angeles—you’re more than likely to find a member of the P.F. team catching a show or grabbing a drink at the adjacent bar, Checker Hall. We’re both independently owned Los Angeles institutions, and we love the rich history behind the space and the vintage details they’ve kept intact. Originally a meeting place for local Freemasons, Lodge Room has remained a place to gather, but this time for live performances. A collaboration with them was organically born as they’ve always been fans of our scent, Teakwood & Tobacco. They routinely burn candles throughout the space, and if you’ve attended a show at Lodge Room, you’ve probably noticed this popular scent lingering in the air.
Lodge 382 encapsulates the rich history and unique architecture of Lodge Room. Its Renaissance Revival style is an unmistakable characteristic. We were inspired by its unique details, like wood paneled walls and era appropriate paintings, that harken back to the time this edifice housed Freemason gatherings. These details add to the allure, and so we created a scent that has notes of black leather, cypress, and smoked cedar to highlight the mysterious, dark nature of the historic venue.
Much like listening to music, home fragrance is a sensory experience that’s unique to every individual. Similar to listening to a favorite song, fragrance has the ability to spark memories and emotions creating an overall experience. Our goal with Lodge 382 was to create a unique accord that fosters an atmosphere fitting for a meditative and transcendent experience.
Lodge 382’s cold throw is woody, dry, and green. When lit, top notes of crushed fir needles and valencia orange open up to a sultry redolence of black leather, patchouli, and cypress. It’s all grounded by velvet suede, smoked cedar, and amber musk, that together, create the allure behind this signature scent.
