How fragrance enhances your favorite spaces + daily rituals

ON THE ROAD WITH @SOFEARLYSS

Meet Alyssa. She and her VW van, Journey, travel across the country to reconnect with nature and adopt a more minimal lifestyle. Although she’s based here in Los Angeles, Alyssa loves hitting the road and exploring what each state has to offer.

Today, we’re learning a bit about van life and how our scents bring her back home.

What She Loves About Van Life:
“EVERYTHING, but being out in nature really brings me the most joy. I love going hiking, discovering hidden gems, and blasting music along the way. In the last year, I’ve explored so many beautiful places in a short amount of time. I’ve come to realize you don’t have to get on a plane or travel far to experience all that the world has to offer. Some of the most amazing places are right in our backyards.”

Why Fragrance Is Essential:
“Aromatherapy is essential to my self-care, whether it’s in the form of oils, incense, or candles. I light a candle almost every night while I’m writing in my journal. It soothes me, and it’s a part of my daily routine to do at least 15 minutes of quiet time before lights out. Right before I close my eyes I blow it out and think about all the things I’m grateful for. My baby girl (van) is 50 years old so having my favorite scents on hand definitely helps to keep odors at bay. Having my candles and incense on the road with me helps me feel right at home.”

Alyssa’s Faves:
“I love the newest Watermelon & Chili scent. It takes me back to summer days as a child, swimming until my fingers wrinkle and then running to my mom for freshly sliced watermelon with a sprinkle of salt. It’s refreshing and vibrant. I also adore the Teakwood & Tobacco incense. I love how it lingers when I’m trying to set the mood for a relaxing Sunday afternoon or Monday morning.”

Totally relate to Alyssa’s Watermelon & Chili memories – wrinkled fingers, family, watermelon – you know that’s a good summer day.
